This section can be used to talk about a number of things that include but is not limited to Depth Finders, GPSs, Radars, Accoustics, etc. Today's Side Imaging and Down Scanning technologies are quickly becoming forum favorites. There is a likelihood that will become a sub-forum on here as well. For now feel free to discuss and ask questions right here! Keep an eye out for special contributors and experts on this section!

Hay Bob what are spiders? You got good spiders bots and you have bad spiders bots. If you want to call them good bots that just track you like (Google) and bad bots that steal email and information.

Harry, I did get the sleeve on my fish finder and it looks pretty slick. I have the rest in my garage to get back to you. I'll give it to Keith on Friday if you won't be there. Thanks for letting me have some!
Also, bots do not cause pop-ups. Those are generated from web sites you are hitting.

What Bob is talking about No it don't cause Pop-ups it is just indexing site for search engine to find web pages on the Internet.
Most site Pop-up are usually created by advertisers Some Pop-ups are coded in. Some Pop-ups are generated by Ad-ware & Spyware. Turn on your Browser Pop-up Blocker. Some site are Hijack by Pop-ups or just plain HiJacked. Which is a problem for the Website owner.
If Pop-ups are coming from your compute it may coming from a port you need to harden you firewall. You will need to find what has HiJack your computer. Increase the security settings in the browser so that Activex controls won't install automatically.
Beware of chain email they can be source of Malware, Trojans and computer Virus.
Use an application-based firewall if you don't have a router Firewall. If you do have a Firewall use it anyway (application-based firewall). Use a Anti-virus program to scan your computer often.
I want my freedom back!!!!! Never know what you have missed unless it is threatened to be taken away from you!
