Harry, if you don't know how to drop shot (and drop shot works really good on Carters!), these Cross tail baits are tailor made for drop shot!! They should work on C-rigs too, don't get me wrong!

ss rig is like a lite version of c-rig..
ray which bait you talking about? the minnow type? power bait has some like it ive used.. my jackals work better??? at first i thought you were talking about c-rigging the frog. ;D

Just about any bait on a Carolina rig while work if you’re on the fish. I like brush hogs and baby brush hogs, just about year round.

I fish a couple of lakes in the winter and early spring where the bass absolutely crush lizards.

Yeah, I always catch fish on the Carolina rig, just vary the drag speed, but it really helps to be around cover and irregular bottoms.

I typically throw a one ounce weight so that I can feel subtle bottom changes, which is when I typically get bit. Paying attention guarantees I don’t miss the bite.
