Mang FP don't make us wait,

LOL Smoochy and Liver

Lips sounds like a darn good-un.
Back in the first half of the seventies when I was still in high school I met a CUTE little 16 year old blonde and started dating her. I was totally tripped out because she really liked me, thought that I was mondo handsome. Anywho, starting on the first date that we went out on she loved to smooch at stop signs, and red lights. Thus my nickname for her was Smoochy. Did I say she was CUTE?
She was a heck of a kisser.
She came from a very good home, and had parents that were very nice, but very strict. Really old school Southern folk.
We had be dating for about six weeks when her mom ask me over to dinner, not supper; but dinner. When I told my Mom she immediately broke out her Emily Post books and sat me down at the
dining room table. She did this daily till the big night, and drummed in all the proper table manners for formal dinning.
Evidently I really impressed the young lady’s mom with my *proper* dinning etiquette as I was finally allowed to keep her out till midnight stating that evening.
About three weeks later I arrived at her house to pick her up. Her dad had pickup dinner from a local cafeteria and they had gotten a late start on their supper. The situation was such that we missed the start of the movie that we were going to see, and her mom suggested that visiting in the *courting parlor* would be appropriate while we waited for the next showing of the movie.
About an hour into our visit her mom offered some refreshments, and we went into the kitchen. Her dad was getting a few bites of his liver and onions. She made a comment on the yuckiness of liver and onions. I teased her a bit about her squeamishness. At that point she dared me to eat some of her dad’s liver and onions. So I ate some to accept the dare.
A bit later while in in the *courting parlor* we smooched and she exclaimed: YUCK!!! Liver-lips!
Her parents heard the exclamation and thought it quite funny.
The next week when we were talking on the phone her mom came in from visiting a friend and ask her dad who she was talking to on the phone. He replied Old Liver-Lips. Thus, I became Old Liver-Lips.
So there you have the story of Smoochy, and Liver-Lips.
