Personally, I moved over to North Georgia in 2007 from the DFW area. I haven't been to Murray yet (on the bucket list). In fact I don't know what the ratio of spots to LMB are on Murray. Lake Hartwell, on the Georgia/SC border is loaded with spots. They tend to like the rocky banks more in the summer, and like finesse baits, small jigs, ned rigs, shakey heads, small swimbaits, drop shot during the summer months (at night, however, they will hammer a 3/4 oz Black/red or Black/blue spinner bait with a huge colorado blade and twin tail grub (most any dark color will do). As the water temps rise they will be a little deeper (10'-25' not uncommon). the cleaner the water the more natural colors for the soft plastics and jigs (tip... the soft plastics work night and day - same baits).
