Summertime is ledge fishing, right?

Dragging a Carolina rig or football jig are two of my favorite ways to catch fish.

I usually catch bigger fish deadsticking the football jig on the right spot. Once you drag into it, just let it sit there, and wait for the weight of the jig to disappear. Set the hook.

I caught an 8-1/2 pounder on a football jig after casting and getting a big backlash. Took me about five minutes to pick it out. Reeled in, took up the remaining slack and could not feel the jig, so I set the hook and there she was.

Oh, and I won $1600 for big fish
