That must be the answer. They are all choked up on the rice cakes and can’t speak.

Had meatloaf the other night. Was pretty good. The tomato sauce part was good, but the whole thing needed more flavor, like salt and something else.

Just juiced a couple of oranges, about to take the first sip, let’s see…disappointed, not sweet but not sour either.

I don’t normally eat steak at restaurants, but last night I took the gf to a steakhouse and had filets, great cut of meat, cooked perfectly, almost as good as mine, but 3x the cost. Of well, she enjoyed it and I benefitted from the investment…

I bet you can’t even ask for the benefits from your wife or gf…functional mutes.

Boss man is having us over to his house for smoked brisket this weekend, Sunday night. Looking forward to a quality meal. He also home brews, and we made a wheat beer last rotation. Should be ready to drink by now.

Meanwhile, enjoyed a really good local beer last night. Still don’t understand why their beer bottle volume is 10 ounces. Three sips and it’s gone.

The rum here is outstanding. Locally distilled and sold. One can buy some of it in the US, but it’s not popular there. All my friends and family love it.

Other local food productions include hot pepper sauces galore, many different homemade sauces and all of them hot and good. Also, bread is really good here. Some of the rolls are outstanding.

I am not a fan of the meat produced in this country, I’m not sure but I would guess preservation is not a priority or given the attention it deserves in a warm humid, tropical climate.
