Only three more Sunday Afternoon tournaments for this season!! It has flown by! We are experiencing a week of warm weather and longer days and that could move some fish up shallow again (judging by the big largemouth we saw last weekend, we could start seeing even more). There is a chance of rain, but right now it would appear to be manageable. Hopefully, you guys will come on out and join us!!

Fees are unchanged, $20 to the tournament which includes a $5 Big Bass, and a 1-5 payback (6 places after 25 no matter how many) and a $10 side pot (optional but everyone gets in it!). Rules are simple: you decide individual/team/how many in the team, 3 fish limit per entry, 1 dead fish allowed and Big Bass must be alive, no live bait and be courteous and friendly. Most of all, HAVE FUN!
The park manager wanted me to remind you guys that this is not a COE ramp and the COE passes will not work here. Please either get an envelope and put your money in the box down by the ramp on the right, or get the Bartow County launch pass ($5 a day or $40 for the annual).
All events are 1PM till 5PM until the daylight savings time shift in March then we finish out at 1PM till 6PM.
All tournaments are held out of Bartow County Gatewood Park: Exit GA-20 exit on I-75 and turn east, Turn south at the light (right from I-75, left from Canton) next to Wendy's onto Spur 20. Go about 2 miles and turn left on Jim Knight Rd., Turn left when it dead ends at the Bartow Beach Rd. (right in front of the COE maintenance yard). Stay on the Beach road and stay to the left past the park Manager's house and follow the signs to the left to the boat ramp

Started out with rain and ended up a breeze and overcast. Temps were in the 50s with a variable northerly wind. The water is clearing but still pretty stained, the warmest water I saw today was 56 degrees. The lake is still dropping and it is currently at 839.27 just under summer pool.
We had 37 paid entries this afternoon with 74 anglers slinging baits. There were 81 fish weighed for a total weight of 132.81 lbs, 7 of those were largemouth bass including Big Bass for 5.38 lbs.
Here are the money spots:
6th place went to Caleb and Josh with 3 fish for 5.78 lbs and $27
5th place went to Chris and don with 3 fish for 5.90 lbs and $56
4th place was Chuck and Joe C. with 3 fish for 5.96 lbs and $94
3rd place was Gus and Brandon with 3 fish for 6.08 lbs for $111
2nd place was Nick T and Nick with 3 fish for 8.83 lbs (and must mention the Big Spot at 4.63 lbs) for $127
1st place was Bob and Jason with 3 fish for 11.31 lbs for $139, Big Bass with a 5.38 lb LMB for $185 and the side pot of $380 (Very Nice payday!!)
Take a look at two of the biggest for the Allen clan!
