Beginning with this tournament and the rest of them for this month we will be fishing till 6PM. The long range forecast looking good for now. As for between now and then we'll see how much more rain we get, so far it looks manageable!. Ya'll come on out and join us anyway!! Fees are unchanged, $20 to the tournament which includes a $5 Big Bass, and a 1-5 payback (6 places after 25 no matter how many) and a $10 side pot (optional but everyone gets in it!). Rules are simple: you decide individual/team/how many in the team, 3 fish limit per entry, 1 dead fish allowed and Big Bass must be alive, no live bait and be courteous and friendly. Most of all, HAVE FUN! The park manager wanted me to remind you guys that this is not a COE ramp and the COE passes will not work here. Please either get an envelope and put your money in the box down by the ramp on the right, or get the Bartow County launch pass ($5 a day or $40 for the annual). All events are 1PM till 5PM until the daylight savings time shift in March then we finish out at 1PM till 6PM. All tournaments are held out of Bartow County Gatewood Park: Exit GA-20 exit on I-75 and turn east, Turn south at the light (right from I-75, left from Canton) next to Wendy's onto Spur 20. Go about 2 miles and turn left on Jim Knight Rd., Turn left when it dead ends at the Bartow Beach Rd. (right in front of the COE maintenance yard). Stay on the Beach road and stay to the left past the park Manager's house and follow the signs to the left to the boat ramp

Nice afternoon with bluebird skies and temps in the low 60s, wind blew a little more than I would've liked, but even that wasn't too bad. Water temps between 49 and 51 degrees and heavily stained to almost muddy (ready for that to clear up a bit!!), Water is still about 4 feet high and dropping. I hope the rain will slow down to a normal average and allow everything to settle down! We had 30 paid entries with 59 anglers weighing 59 fish for a total of 97.44 lbs and only one largemouth (but it was a nice one!!) Here are the money spots 6th place went to Thad, Kelly and Andy (forgive if I am wrong?) with 3 fish for 5.34 lbs and $23 5th place was Rick and Danny with 3 fish for 5.41 lbs and $45 4th place was Joe and Ken with 3 fish for 5.43 lbs and $79 3rd place was Kevin Bagley with 3 fish for 6.17 lbs and $90 2nd place was Wayne I. and Kevin W. with 3 fish for 6.90 lbs and $107 1st place was Lance Richard and Billy H. with 3 fish for 10.00 lbs and Big Bass with a 7.47 lb Largemouth! They won $150 for Big Bass , $112 for First and $310 in the side pot! Awesome Job Thanks to Jeff Gravelly and MR. Softy worms with a nice worm pack for the "First Man Out" award . This was awarded to Bleyten and Jason Hogue with 3 fish for 5.19 lbs Come on out and join us next Sunday!!
