Event # 2 for Feb 2020. We've had a decent turnout for the last couple of weekends and I hope we can keep up the trend! You guys come on out and join us. This week will have plenty of warm weather so the big females may start showing up! Hopefully the weigh in will have plenty to brag about! Just a reminder that our entry fees are $20 to the tournament ($5 for Big Bass and $15 to a 1-5 payback) and $10 side pot (winner take all). The park manager wanted me to remind you guys that this is not a COE ramp and the COE passes will not work here. Please either get an envelope and put your money in the box down by the ramp on the right, or get the Bartow County launch pass ($5 a day or $40 for the annual). All events are 1PM till 5PM until the daylight savings time shift in March then we finish out at 1PM till 6PM. All tournaments are held out of Bartow County Gatewood Park: Exit GA-20 exit on I-75 and turn east, Turn south at the light (right from I-75, left from Canton) next to Wendy's onto Spur 20. Go about 2 miles and turn left on Jim Knight Rd., Turn left when it dead ends at the Bartow Beach Rd. (right in front of the COE maintenance yard). Stay on the Beach road and stay to the left past the park Manager's house and follow the signs to the left to the boat ramp

A little wind mostly from the south, on the cool side, Lake temps ranged 47-48 degrees where we fished. The heavy stain is in the main lake past the Yacht Club on the Etowah side. The pockets and small creeks are still pretty clean. The numbers are down a bit this week but that should come as no surprise with the drastic changes in the lake level the last few days (looking like even more changes coming in the next couple of days!). We still managed a pretty fair turnout today with 21 paid entries, 42 anglers. Together we weighed only 33 fish for a total 40.93 lbs (avg 1.24 lbs per fish). There no largemouth bass weighed today at all. Here's how the money paid out: 5th place went to Josh A. with 3 fish for 3.37 lbs and $32 4th place was Steve and Todd with 3 fish for 3.61 lbs and $47 3rd place went to Mike and Gabe (or Gube?) with 3 fish for 3.87 lbs and $63 2nd place went to Rick and Danny with 3 fish for 4.68 lbs and $79 1st went to Corey with 3 fish to humble the rest of us with 7.48 lbs for $94 and the Side pot of $220, He also had Big Bass with a spot weighing 3.30 lbs for $105 The lake is definitely rising and reports from around the lake indicate tons of debris in areas around the lake so be extremely careful and wear your life vests!! Looking forward to seeing you all next weekend, have a great week!
