This year is already flying by! Can you believe it's going to be February already? It's looking a pretty decent weather forecast for Sunday with sunny skies, light WNW wind at 6 mph, and temps around 60 degrees. They have started pulling the lake back down, my bet is they turn off the faucet around 824' msl this weekend. I hope that you folks will join us. The big girls are starting to show up as Joe C. has shown us, Come on out and see if Big Mama wants a ride in your boat!
Just a reminder that our entry fees are $20 to the tournament ($5 for Big Bass and $15 to a 1-5 payback) and $10 side pot (winner take all). The park manager wanted me to remind you guys that this is not a COE ramp and the COE passes will not work here. Please either get an envelope and put your money in the box down by the ramp on the right, or get the Bartow County launch pass ($5 a day or $40 for the annual).
See ya'll on Sunday!

Clear Blue skies and pleasant temps, with wind increasing a bit throughout the afternoon. Water was pretty clear on the main lake and slightly stained in McCaskey with water temps around 48 degrees pretty much every where I fished. We had 31 paid entries with 55 anglers, When the smoke cleared there were 45 fish brought to the scales with 4 of them being LMB. The total weight was 81.13 lbs. There were two LMB weighed for a tie on Big Bass at 3.06 lbs each.
The money paid out to:
6th place, Rick and Danny with 3 fish for 5.64 lbs and one of the Big Bass at 3.06 lbs. They got $23 for 6th and $78 for half of the BB pot
5th place went to Taylor and Kelly with 3 fish for 5.73 lbs and $47
4th place was Wayne and Corey with 3 fish for 5.99 lbs for $79
3rd place was Mike W. and Teddy with 3 fish for 6.14 lbs and $93 and the other half of the BB pot for $77 (actually Mike donated the buck to Danny since nobody want $.50
2nd place was Stan K. and Lonnie with 3 fish for 6.26 lbs and $107
1st went to Joe C (again) with Ken H. holding the back seat down for him. they had 7.73 lbs and won $116 for first and the side pot of $320
Congrats to the money spots!! Hope to see you all next weekend. Looking like warm temps all week with rain towards the end. We could see some big girls at weigh in next week so come on out and give those big girls a ride in your live well!
