Already coming up on our third event of the new year! Time travels way too fast! This Sunday is supposed to be partly cloudy and more like it's supposed to be for January, with a high around 49 degrees and NW winds around 10mph. The ramp situation is good right now, still only one ramp open, but coming up. They topped out at 826 this morning and started back down, but the rain in the forecast should keep it up enough. Hopefully things will stabilize and they will open the other ramp too. Come on out and join us!

All events are 1PM till 5PM until the daylight savings time shift in March then we finish out at 1PM till 6PM.
All tournaments are held out of Bartow County Gatewood Park: Exit GA-20 exit on I-75 and turn east, Turn south at the light (right from I-75, left from Canton) next to Wendy's onto Spur 20. Go about 2 miles and turn left on Jim Knight Rd., Turn left when it dead ends at the Bartow Beach Rd. (right in front of the COE maintenance yard). Stay on the Beach road and stay to the left past the park Manager's house and follow the signs to the left to the boat ramp

Highs in the mid 40s, brisk north wind, Blue Bird Skies and stained water in the 48-49 degree range. Interesting conditions no doubt! We had 21 paid entries, 37 anglers tackled it today with only 7 boats that didn't weigh something. The rest of the boats brought 44 fish to the scales for a total of 77.81lbs! There were 2 largemouth bass, one of which was Big Bass. Here's how the money paid out:
5th place was Mark S with 3 fish for 5.40lbs and $32
4th place went to Jonathan and Albert with 3 fish for 6.05lbs and $47
3rd place was Taylor with 3 fish for 6.29lbs and $63
2nd place was Dante and Dante with 3 fish for 6.70lbs and $79
1st place was the Winter King, Joe Croft with 3 fish for 11.31lbs and Big Bass with a 5.38lb LMB. Joe took the $94 payday for First and $220 side pot, and the $105 Big Bass pot.
Awesome job to Joe and the other money spots!
Hopefully, next weekend will bring us some better weather. We will be there unless its icing and snowing so bad the road and boat ramps are dangerous!
