Everything is a "go" for this Sunday. The weather forecast for Sunday is beautiful for this time of year, the ramp is open (only one lane). I will be there around the normal time (11:30 to 12 time frame) so come on out and join us! My motor is fixed thanks to Busted Knuckle and running good, thanks for the back seat offers, but I will be piloting the old Astro again!
All events are 1PM till 5PM until the daylight savings time shift in March then we finish out at 1PM till 6PM.
All tournaments are held out of Bartow County Gatewood Park: Exit GA-20 exit on I-75 and turn east, Turn south at the light (right from I-75, left from Canton) next to Wendy's onto Spur 20. Go about 2 miles and turn left on Jim Knight Rd., Turn left when it dead ends at the Bartow Beach Rd. (right in front of the COE maintenance yard). Stay on the Beach road and stay to the left past the park Manager's house and follow the signs to the left to the boat ramp

What a beautiful afternoon it turned out to be. It was a little cool, especially in the shady areas, but for January it was great! Water was stained to clear with water temps around 51 degrees most places we went today. We had 30 paid entries (31 boats including my boat, which ran great thank you Busted Knuckle). 18 boats brought fish to the scales. 55 anglers fished, weighing 53 fish for a total of 81.62lbs (avg 1.54lbs per fish) with 4 largemouths (Big Bass was a largemouth).
Here's the money spots:
6th place went to Scott and Will with 3 fish for 5.30lbs and $23
5th place was Steven W., Cody and Brandon with 3 fish for 5.48lbs and $45
4th place went to D2 (Dante and Dante!!) with 3 fish for 5.64lbs for $76
3rd place was Mike Cronin with 3 fish for 5.93lbs for $90
2nd place went to Ken H. and Michael K. with 3 fish for 6.59lbs and $104
1st place was Jason M with three fish for 7.03lbs and Big Bass with a LMB for 3.52lbs, Jason took the trifecta! 1st with $112, Big Bass for $150 and the Side Pot for $310!
Congrats to all of today's winners. Come on out next Sunday and afternoon and join us!!
