Too soon to tell, but I am sure hoping we get a break on the wind!!! Two weekends in a row the wind has howled! WE'll be there anyway, about the only thing that would keep me from putting this on is a severe ice storm that would be dangerous to drive in and icing boat ramps. Over the years we have had only a couple of those, and we have had a couple of ramp closures due to the lake level.Neither of those conditions are in the forecast for this coming Sunday so I plan on being there and hope to see ya'll too!

The fees are unchanged, $20 for the tournament ($15 for the pay back and $5 for Big Bass) and a $10 optional side pot. Three fish limit, 12" minimum, 1 dead fish allowed and Big Bass must be alive, no live bait. You decide if you are a team (as many folks as allowed in the boat) or by yourself, you decide. One entry is three fish. Anyway, most folks reading this have fished my events and would be more than willing to tell you the rules (LOL).
All events are 1PM till 5PM until the daylight savings time shift in March then we finish out at 1PM till 6PM.
All tournaments are held out of Bartow County Gatewood Park: Exit GA-20 exit on I-75 and turn east, Turn south at the light (right from I-75, left from Canton) next to Wendy's onto Spur 20. Go about 2 miles and turn left on Jim Knight Rd., Turn left when it dead ends at the Bartow Beach Rd. (right in front of the COE maintenance yard). Stay on the Beach road and stay to the left past the park Manager's house and follow the signs to the left to the boat ramp

Really a nice afternoon for a change. Toward the end it got a little breezy and a little cool in the shady areas. Only downside is the monster yachts were out today and running in the Mega Wave mode! I got swamped twice by the same yacht ( real_mad)! That's OK, the boat is in the garage with two fans on it! It drives me to cussing, but it's better than shooting the dumbarses!
We ended up with55 anglers, weighing 48 bass for a total of 77.4lbs (avg 1.61lbs) with 4 largemouth weighed including Big Bass. Here's how it paid today:
6th place was Kelly and Paul with 3 fish for 5.26lbs and $23
5th place went to Stephen Y. and Jake H. with 3 fish for 5.36lbs and $45
4th place was Stan K. and Big O (Larry O) with 3 fish for 5.55lbs and $76
3rd place went to Kacy Y and Gary with 3 fish for 5.73lbs and $90
2nd place went to Joe C with 3 fish for 6.08lbs for $104
1st place, and the side pot went to Max and Taylor with 3 fish for 6.79lbs, 1st was $112 and the side pot was $310, The also had Big Bass with a 3.90lb largemouth for $150. Pretty nice payday for 4 hours on a Sunday afternoon!
WTG to all the money spots!
I will be hitting the road to Texas in the morning and coming back on Thursday so that I can be here to put on another event for you folks next Sunday. come on out and join us. I can promise you'll meet a lot of nice folks!
