Well folks, we are currently scheduled for the Blockhouse Boat Ramp, but I am keeping an eye on Gatewood. The CoE told Chris that he could open it back up when it reaches the divider and the yellow markings. The rate that the lake is currently coming down may go in our favor. I will definitely be watching and will let you know as soon as I know. We are fishing the rest of the Sunday Afternoons till 6PM with the daylight savings time change. We only have three more to go! Hopefully we will get to see some really good turn outs for those three! Times 1PM till 6PM 3 fish limit, one dead fish allowed for total weight, 12" minimum Big Bass must be alive Trolling allowed, no rod length limits $20 entry ($15 for a 1-5 payback more than 25 entries is 6 places regardless. $5 to the Big Bass pot) $10 optional side pot - winner take all (total weight) other rules? none Have fun and be nice!

I went by Gatewood this evening and the ramp is still closed, looks like we need at least another foot before they will open it up. So this Sunday will be Blockhouse again.

What started out pretty calm ended blowing pretty steady out of the west-northwest and skies turning pure blue! That usually spells high pressure and fishing gets pretty tough (it pretty much did). Regardless somebody will find enough fish to weigh in. We only had 14 paid entries this afternoon with a total of 27 anglers. There were 28 fish brought to the scales for a total of 45.83lbs, of those there were two largemouth bass, the rest were all spotted bass. 3rd place went to Billy and Lance with 3 fish for 5.90lbs for $42 2nd place was Rick and Danny with 3 fish for 6.18lbs and $63 1st place with 6.37lbs was Jeff and Thad for $105 and the side pot of $150, they also had Big Bass with a 2.78lb fish for $70 I enjoyed seeing you guys today, just wish we could've had a bigger turnout (maybe they stayed home to watch the final day weigh in of the Bassmaster Classic in Knoxville)
Next Sunday we will be back home at Gatewood! Only two more left then the count down till May and the night tournaments!!
