After eating All that Thanksgiving food, Fishing the Black Friday Tournaments, Watching college FB on Saturday, you should be ready for relaxing low key bassing on Sunday afternoon! That's where Porko's comes in. So come on out and enjoy the Sunday afternoon with us!! The tournament runs from 1PM till 5PM. I will be there around noon to start collecting entry fees. You can usually find me down in the handicap area by the ramp $20 entry fee ($15 to a 1-5 payback, and $5 to Big Bass), and $10 optional side pot - Winner take all (total weight). 3 fish limit, one dead fish allowed. Big Bass must be alive to count. Team (no number restriction) or individual, you decide what works best for your boat. No live bait. Good sportsmanship and no alcohol during tournament. Pretty simple rules, huh?
All tournaments are held out of Bartow County Gatewood Park: Exit GA-20 exit on I-75 and turn east, Turn south at the light (right from I-75, left from Canton) next to Wendy's onto Spur 20. Go about 2 miles and turn left on Jim Knight Rd., Turn left when it dead ends at the Bartow Beach Rd. (right in front of the COE maintenance yard). Stay on the Beach road and stay to the left past the park Manager's house and follow the signs to the left to the boat ramp If the lot is full or the pay-box has no envelopes, just let me know and I will give you directions

Well, they plugged it back up and the lake level is now 834.34, I suspect they will get back on the normal drawdown rate on Monday. We she see around 823' by Christmas. The last week we saw the lake coming down at a little more than a foot a day, We will probably see about 1/3 of that rate Monday through Friday, barring no more heavy rains. This afternoon the temps should reach around 60 deg, lots of sunlight and a SE wind 5-10MPH. We are fishing prefrontal conditions this after noon so the bite may turn on later this afternoon. The cold front coming through tonight will put daytime highs in the 40s and the lows in 20s. Come on out and get ya some of it today!!

Pretty nice afternoon with partly to mostly cloudy skies, mild wind and comfortable temps. The water was back down to where it was when the rains came, about 52-53 degrees and pretty clean in the main lake areas, We had 35 paid entries, 68 anglers weighed 48 fish for 67lbs and only one small largemouth. Here's how it paid out: 6th place went to Ronald H and Ray N with 3 fish for 4.01lbs for $27 5th place went to Turkey and Joe with 3 fish for 4.42lbs and $52 4th place was Jarrod and John with 3 fish for 4.77lbs and $89 3rd place was Nick and Zack T with 3 fish for 5.24lbs and $105 2nd place went to Bob and Jon A. with 3 fish for 6.12lbs and $121 1st place went to Scott and Mason with 3 fish for 6.659 lbs and $131, and the side pot of $360. They also had big bass with a 3.61lb spot for $175 (Scott do not add the total up, it will scare you after your weight.
We'll do it all again next Sunday, here's hoping you folks will be there!
