We'll be there, will YOU? the fishing is pretty darned good right now, I expect a couple of days to slow a bit with these colder nights, but it will warm back up by the weekend. Come on out and give Nick and Zack, Ryan and Chad W and few others some competition!!! Those boys are riding high right now (and rightfully so, they are producing very well!)
We will be at the top of the parking lot about 11:30-12:00 collecting entry fees. Last entry to sign up will blast everyone else off at 1:00 PM and we will fish until 6:00 PM.
As always, $20 entry ($5 to big bass and $15 to the 1-5 payback), and optional $10 side pot (winner take all, heavy creel). Fish as team or individual, team is however many you want (as many as your boat will legally carry, or just two, your choice), there is a 3 fish limit per entry. 1 dead fish allowed and Big Bass must be alive.
All tournaments are held out of Bartow County Gatewood Park: Exit GA-20 exit on I-75 and turn east, Turn south at the light (right from I-75, left from Canton) next to Wendy's onto Spur 20. Go about 2 miles and turn left on Jim Knight Rd., Turn left when it dead ends at the Bartow Beach Rd. (right in front of the COE maintenance yard). Stay on the Beach road and stay to the left past the park Manager's house and follow the signs to the left to the boat ramp
If the lot is full or the pay-box has no envelopes, just let me know and I will give you directions

That was a beautiful afternoon with a warm wind occasionally, partly cloudy in the 70s. Water temps in the mid 50s and slightly stained most places we went this afternoon. I guess there were a lot of other folks who decided that it was just too pretty to sit at home also!
We had 41 paid entries with a total of 73 anglers!! We saw 82 fish at the scales weighing a total of 143.21lbs (average of 1.75lbs, down a little from last week). Only 3 largemouth were weighed which is a real surprise given the time of year and the lake conditions!
We paid 6 places, Big Bass and the side pot today, here are the money spots:
6th went to Darryl Jones with 2 fish for 5.94lbs and $31
5th place was Mike Cronin with 3 fish for 6.23lbs and $61
4th place went to Hunter and Gus with 3 fish for 6.65lbs and $105
3rd place was Chad Wood with 3 fish for 7.27lbs and $123
2nd place went to Derric and Shaun with e fish for 7.61lbs and $141, they also had Big Bass with a 4.34lb spot for $205
1st place went to Joe and Turkey with 3 fish for 8.08lbs and $154, and the side pot for $410!

I enjoyed all of you coming out today, we have one more Sunday afternoon event for this season, That will be next Sunday on Mar 25, 2018. We would love to see you, so come on out and join us!!
