Alrighty, guys!! I should've started another thread for the Sunday Afternoon events. We are definitely back on for this Sunday afternoon out of Gatewood. I have the permits and we are ready to roll. Be sure to get your annual launch pass renewed if you go that route, if not then be sure to pay for your launch. 1-5PM $20 for the tourney and $10 side pot (optional), 1 in 5 payback up to 30 placs then its 6 places no matter what. 12' minimum, 1 dead fish allowed and Big Bass must be alive, and no live bait!! You decide how your entry works, you can be a team with you and however many folks you want on your team as long as your legal in the state of georgia (life jackets, boat occupant limit etc). you can only weigh 3 fish per entry. WE have never had anyone cheat, that we know of, your fishing peers are your punishment if you get caught and I would not want to be that person!! lol. The other thing that I ask (and shouldn't have to ask) is to refrain from drinking during the tournament, after you load your boat and can no longer pose a boating threat then it's up to you. See you guys on Sunday!! All tournaments are held out of Bartow County Gatewood Park: Exit GA-20 exit on I-75 and turn east, Turn south at the light (right from I-75, left from Canton) next to Wendy's onto Spur 20. Go about 2 miles and turn left on Jim Knight Rd., Turn left when it dead ends at the Bartow Beach Rd. (right in front of the COE maintenance yard). Stay on the Beach road and stay to the left past the park Manager's house and follow the signs to the left to the boat ramp If the lot is full or the pay-box has no envelopes, just let me know and I will give you directions

Well this will be an easy report!! Water temps around 43-44 degrees today, ice still in the creeks, We had 19 paid entries, 20 boats with mine. There were a total of 35 folks going at it today. A GRAND TOTAL of 4 bass (2 LMB) were weighed from 3 boats today. Those four bass weighed a total 5.8lbs. Here are the money spots: 3rd place was Stan K. with 1 fish for 1.38lbs and $72, 2nd place went to Paul H. had 1 fish for 1.70lbs for $99, Charlie and Joe won first with 2 fish for 2.72lbs and Big Bass with 1.83lbs they won $95 for Big Bass and $114 for First and $200 side pot. I went against the one thing I preach over and again, bring your fish to the scales, you never know!! We had a keeper at about 13" that would have been at least good for fourth, but NOOOOO I defeated myself by thinking the caliper of folks fishing this event will surely weigh in more fish. I divided the fourth place money up between 2nd and 3rd place. Congrats to the money spots!! Maybe next weekend fishing will improve!!
