We are into December and already had our first snow, and water temps are slowly dropping. In spite of the High blue skies last Sunday fishing was remarkably good for most folks. WE have a somewhat more stable weather pattern going into this weekend and hopefully the fishing will be good as well! There's only one way to find for sure and that is come on out and wet a hook!! I have a club tournament on Saturday and then I will be right back out there Sunday afternoon, so I hope you guys can make it on Sunday for sure!!
All tournaments are held out of Bartow County Gatewood Park: Exit GA-20 exit on I-75 and turn east, Turn south at the light (right from I-75, left from Canton) next to Wendy's onto Spur 20. Go about 2 miles and turn left on Jim Knight Rd., Turn left when it dead ends at the Bartow Beach Rd. (right in front of the COE maintenance yard). Stay on the Beach road and stay to the left past the park Manager's house and follow the signs to the left to the boat ramp
If the lot is full or the pay-box has no envelopes, just let me know and I will give you directions

We had our meeting tonight and I told my guys to let you guys launch and blast off then we will go. Our weigh in will be at 3:30PM. I think Lonnie Tanner is going to fish both (he paid for ours already). I told him he could weigh in both as far as I am concerned.
All is good, we will both fit just fine.

Yea the ramp can handle it for sure. We don't do formal blast off. As soon as you pay you can leave when you want and most guys take off before daylight so you guys should be able to get everyone in and blast off before daylight.

Well, was it the weather?? We only had 12 paid entries today, that's the lowest turnout of this season. It was pretty chilly out there and yes we did get some rain! Fortunately it stopped in time for the weigh in. WE had 21 anglers weighing 24 fish for a total of 41.43lbs (avg 1.73lbs per fish), Big Bass was a 3.38lb spotted bass. We only paid 3 places, Big Bass and a side pot, here's the guys took home some cash;
3rd went to Jarrod and Terry with three fish for 6.59lbs for $36, and they also had Big Bass with a 3.38lb fish worth $60
2nd place went to Ray Nalls with 3 fish for 6.95lbs and $54
1st went to Joe C with 3 fish for 7.05lbs for $90 and the side pot of $130
Awesome job guys! We will be back out there on Christmas Eve and again on New year's Eve so come on out and join us!!
