Come on out and join us next Sunday, the weather forecast is showing more seasonable temps for next weekend and next couple of weeks. I'm ready for the winter weather as long as the wind isn't howling like a banshee!! WE have had some great participation the last couple of weekends and I hope we can keep up the pace. It's a lot of work, but it's kind of enjoyable because I get to joke and kid around with you folks, that makes my day! WE will be there around noon to collect entry fees for the 1PM till 5 PM event, $20 tournament and $10 winner take all side pot.
All tournaments are held out of Bartow County Gatewood Park: Exit GA-20 exit on I-75 and turn east, Turn south at the light (right from I-75, left from Canton) next to Wendy's onto Spur 20. Go about 2 miles and turn left on Jim Knight Rd., Turn left when it dead ends at the Bartow Beach Rd. (right in front of the COE maintenance yard). Stay on the Beach road and stay to the left past the park Manager's house and follow the signs to the left to the boat ramp If the lot is full or the pay-box has no envelopes, just let me know and I will give you directions

Snow on the ground and in some of the pine trees (in the shade). Water temp 52-53 degrees still pretty clear. The sky was blue and the wind was chilly, air temps upper 30s to lower 40s. We had 19 paid entries (20 boats with mine) and 34 anglers. humbling weigh in for sure. All but three boats weighed fish with the better part of those weighing 3 fish limits for 5lbs or more (most were in excess of 6lbs!!). The average was 1.94lbs per fish!!!! there were 46 fish weighed for a total of 89.4lbs, 2 largemouth with one of those being the big fish at 4.70lbs. here's how it paid out: 4th place went to Deron and Steven B. with 3 fish for 7.24lbs for $29 3rd place went to Thad and Jeff with 3 fish for 7.25lbs and $57 2nd place was Rick and Danny with 3 fish for 8.07lbs and $85 1st place went to Mr. Joe C. with 3 fish for 8.94lbs for $114, the Side Pot of $200 and the 4.70lb LMB for Big Bass for $95 (Just freakin' WOW!) Next weekend will be warmer and more what we are used to this time of year. Hopefully, we will have a great showing. The spots are obviously biting so come and get ya some of it!!
Be safe this week
