Second of the season coming up this Sunday afternoon. Hopefully, we'll have another great turnout! Come one out and play with us!!
All tournaments are held out of Bartow County Gatewood Park: Exit GA-20 exit on I-75 and turn east, Turn south at the light (right from I-75, left from Canton) next to Wendy's onto Spur 20. Go about 2 miles and turn left on Jim Knight Rd., Turn left when it dead ends at the Bartow Beach Rd. (right in front of the COE maintenance yard). Stay on the Beach road and stay to the left past the park Manager's house and follow the signs to the left to the boat ramp
If the lot is full or the pay-box has no envelopes, just let me know and I will give you directions

The weather started out in the mid 40's with drizzle and a little breeze. As the afternoon progressed the drizzle stopped and the breeze gradually stopped, but the temps never got above 49 degrees. Water temps were between 60.5 and 62 degrees in the places we fished. The water clarity is 4-6' most places we went this afternoon. The number of fish brought to the scales was still good at 51, for a total of 76.14lbs (an average of 1.49lbs per fish), Big Bass was a Spotted bass @ 2.80lbs.

We had 23 paid entries so we paid back 5 places, Big Bass and the Side Pot. Here are the folks that walked away with some cash today:
5th place was Rick and Danny with 3 fish for 5.15lbs for $35
4th place went to Jason, John and Justin with 3 fish for 5.24lbs for $52
3rd place was Mark and Lowell with 3 fish for 5.64lbs and $69
2nd place went to Steve S. and Mike C. with 3 fish for 5.85lbs for $86
1st place went to Mason and Scott with 3 fish for 6.19lbs for $103 Side Pot of $240, and Big Bass for $115
Awesome job guys. Keith R. and his partner Justin had a breakdown over in Allatoona Pass, fortunately they made it back to Bethany Bridge with the trolling motor and had one Justin's family pick Justin up to come back and get Keith's truck at Gatewood. Hope it doesn't result in a costly repair!? Folks, keep your eyes open out there and if you see someone doing something that doesn't look right, please stop and offer to help. Keith may not have tried to flag anyone down, but I would suggest removing the cowling off your motor as a sign of distress, and waving at passing boats. I would hate for something to happen to any of you while fishing my events (or anytime!).
Take care and we will see you next week.
