The wait is almost over!! We start the Sunday Afternoon events up on November 5, 2017 and run it every Sunday through the end of March 2018 (Mother Nature permitting!!). $20 Entry fee ($15 to a 1-5 payback, 25 or more is 6 places regardless, $5 to Big Bass and the fish must be alive), and an optional $10 side pot (Winner take all). It will be a 3 fish limit, 1 dead fish allowed, 12" minimum length. The entry fee is up to you, individual, team, as many people in the boat as you can legally carry is no problem. Or you can compete against each other with an entry fee for each other (3 fish limit per entry). We have no rod length limits, you can even troll if you prefer, just no live bait or net fishing (any kind of net used for harvesting). Tournament times are from 1PM till 5PM, with the possibility of 6PM late in the spring after daylight savings time. Keep in mind that we hope to attract families, couples and folks who might not otherwise get to fish tournaments, as well as our regulars so sportsmanship and a friendly atmosphere is our highest priority. We can ensure this game goes on, after we are gone, by helping the folks who want to know more about this sport!
I'm ready, are you guys ready???
All tournaments are held out of Bartow County Gatewood Park: Exit GA-20 exit on I-75 and turn east, Turn south at the light (right from I-75, left from Canton) next to Wendy's onto Spur 20. Go about 2 miles and turn left on Jim Knight Rd., Turn left when it dead ends at the Bartow Beach Rd. (right in front of the COE maintenance yard). Stay on the Beach road and stay to the left past the park Manager's house and follow the signs to the left to the boat ramp
If the lot is full or the paybox has no envelopes, just let me know and I will give you directions
