LOL, With the number of calls I got last week, we would probably have had over 50 boats last Saturday night (If there would've been a tournament!). Well, guess WHAT!? WE ARE FISHING THIS SATURDAY NIGHT, August 12, 2017, rain or no rain!!! Come on out, if the ramp is crowded I will go on down to the Handicap parking lot and sign folks up down there.
All tournaments are held out of Bartow County Gatewood Park: Exit GA-20 exit on I-75 and turn east, Turn south at the light (right from I-75, left from Canton) next to Wendy's onto Spur 20. Go about 2 miles and turn left on Jim Knight Rd., Turn left when it dead ends at the Bartow Beach Rd. (right in front of the COE maintenance yard). Stay on the Beach road and stay to the left past the park Manager's house and follow the signs to the left to the boat ramp
If the lot is full or the paybox has no envelopes, just let me know and I will give you directions.

Other than the 45 minute shower, that many of us experienced last night, the weather was actually pretty nice!! Water was clear to about 4-5' most everywhere Wally and I fished with about 83.5 degree temps (really low for August in this part of the country!). Excellent turn out last night with 39 paid entries and 75 anglers. 16 entries did not weigh fish (I hope you guys didn't have any problems or issues on the water). Those who were at the weigh in brought in a total of 116 fish for a total weight of 180.78lbs, an average of 1.56lbs per fish (down a little bit). Our Big Bass was another largemouth weighing in at 4.22lbs. The winning weights consisted of some pretty consistent fish last night (no real anchor fish with a few dinks to accompany it). In fact I saw a lot of solid fish between 1 1/2 to 2 1/2lbs brought to the scales.
Anyway, here's who got the money and what they had:
6th place went to Bob A. with 5 fish for 9.39lbs and $78
5th place went to Brian C. and Michael K with 5 fish for 9.95lbs and $156
4th place was Michel and Lonnie with 5 fish for 10.14lbs and $265
3rd place went to John G. and Lonnie T. with 5 fish for 10.17lbs and $312
2nd place went to Chuck and Joe C (always good to see Brother Joe!!) with 5 fish for 10.46lbs and $359
1st place went to the awesome team of Daniel and Trent!! with 5 fish for $11.20 for $390 for first and $400 for the Side pot!
Big Bass went to Chuck and Joe with a largemouth weighing 4.22lbs that was good for $390!!!

Our next even will be August 26, 2017, hope to see you guys out there!!
