Wow! The second July event is already here!! Pretty darned warm too!! That's the nice part of these night events, they get you out of the hot sun!!! We've been having some great crowds this year and I hope that continues. Ya'll join us this coming Saturday night and let's see what we can bring to the scales!! If the lot isn't too full I will collect at the top of the hill, but I could be down at the handicap parking by the ramp, if you don't see me at one place check the other. As always, $50 to the tournament ($10 to Big Bass and $40 to a 1-5 payback, 6 places after 25 entries regardless), and a $10 optional side pot (Winner take all, total weight). I will be there around 5:30-6:00 PM with blast off at 7PM (normally the last entry gets to blast everyone off). Weigh in will be 2:00 AM. You must be inside the no wake buoys and rods down, if there is a long line to load don't worry, we will get your fish weighed. Come on out and join us!! All tournaments are held out of Bartow County Gatewood Park: Exit GA-20 exit on I-75 and turn east, Turn south at the light (right from I-75, left from Canton) next to Wendy's onto Spur 20. Go about 2 miles and turn left on Jim Knight Rd., Turn left when it dead ends at the Bartow Beach Rd. (right in front of the COE maintenance yard). Stay on the Beach road and stay to the left past the park Manager's house and follow the signs to the left to the boat ramp If the lot is full or the paybox has no envelopes, just let me know and I will give you directions.

Wow, that was the hottest evening we have had this summer! At least it started out that way. Water temps around 88-89 degrees made it tough for a more than a few of us! Out 32 entries, 14 entries didn't even weigh fish! At least it didn't rain on us this time (although, most of us would've probably welcomed it!). When the smoke cleared and the weigh in was over we had 60 anglers, 88 fish for a total of 147.48lbs. 8 of those were largemouth bass including the Big Bass. We paid 6 places, Big Bass and a Side Pot. Here are the winners: Big Bass went to Allen and Jarred with a 5.82lb LMB for $320. 6th place went to Lance (hope I got that right?) and Ryan with 5 fish for 9.09lbs and $64 5th place was Brian and Michael with 5 fish for 9.60lbs and $128 4th place was Michel and Lonnie with 5 fish for 10.10lbs and $218 3rd place was Bill and Chad with 5 fish for 10.73lbs and $256 2nd place was Taylor and Jarett with 5 fish for 11.39lbs for $294 1st place was Daniel and Trent (again! lol) with 5 fish for 12.40, they got $320 for first and $320 for the side pot. You guys are on a roll!!
It was good seeing you guys last night and I am glad we got everyone on and off the lake safely. I watch you blast off and it makes me proud that we have a really safe bunch of folks out there in the evenings. Until August 12, ya'll be careful, stay hydrated, and come on back out for another round!!
