Daylight Savings Time, the rest of the events will be 1PM till 6PM This Sunday should be a slug fest for the first couple of hours if the Lunar/Solunar Tables are right. It shows Sunday as the highest rated day of the month with the Peak between Noon and 2PM. The only way to find out is to be on the lake with a bait in the water!! the long range forecast is looking good as well, and the temps this week should bring the water temps up some more. Start looking for the big girls to come up in the afternoons and start incubating those eggs! While you're at it, bring them to the scales! I also hope and love seeing those family boats with the kids and wives so load it up and join us All tournaments are held out of Bartow County Gatewood Park: Exit GA-20 exit on I-75 and turn east, Turn south at the light (right from I-75, left from Canton) next to Wendy's onto Spur 20. Go about 2 miles and turn left on Jim Knight Rd., Turn left when it dead ends at the Bartow Beach Rd. (right in front of the COE maintenance yard). Stay on the Beach road and stay to the left past the park Manager's house and follow the signs to the left to the boat ramp. We usually collect money at the top of the parking lot near the restrooms, but if I'm not there, I will be down by the boat ramp in one of the handicap spaces

Cold and misting at the start of the tournament, then mostly cloudy until the last 45 minutes of the tournament, then we had clear blue skies (and still chilly!). Water temps were around 51.5 degrees up in McCaskey and still pretty clear, although it started showing some stain above the campground in McCaskey. Out of 24 boats, there were only three boats that did not weigh any fish. 20 boats brought in limits. The weights were up across the board this week with the average per fish at 1.91lbs (almost 2 pounds per fish!!!) Here are the numbers; We had 23 paid entries (24 boats with mine), 45 anglers weighing 63 fish for a total weight of 120.06lbs. There were 5 large-mouths weighed in including the Big Bass at 3.68lbs! 5th place for $35 went to Ryan with 3 fish for 6.86lbs 4th place at $52 went to Scott and Tommy with 7.59lbs and the Big Bass for $115 @ 3.68lbs 3rd place with $69 was Mike and Randy with 3 fish for 7.82lbs 2nd place for $86 was Jim and Joe with 3 fish for 7.86lbs 1st place went to Taylor and Bailey with three fish 8.39lbs for $103 and the side pot of $240
WE will be fishing till 6PM the rest of this month, Hopefully spring will return and we can get back to normal!! lol (if there is such a thing as normal!!)
