You would think that with the rain the fish would be just "wide open"! Well, the smaller ones were, but the quality was still a little slow. We did however manage to put a few in the boat on 3/4-1 oz. Rat-L-Traps around grass in 6-8 ft. of water. We also had another good fish break off on an Echo crankbait that ended up jumping up beside the boat and try to shake the lure, but I think it was to laugh at us because the fish showed he could break my clients line, it gave us a good laugh for the day. The water is still down and there is still an extreme amount of floating eel grass to contend with, but that goes with the territory. Have fun, Mike Carter
