Well the long range forecast is showing Partly Cloudy, 69° 47°, 20%, NNW 4 mph. Man! That just don't sound like a winter forecast to me!? Creature comfort at it's best, but I'm betting these poor fish don't know what to make of it? It don't matter, let's go fishing anyway!!
Partly Cloudy
1:00PM till 5PM. $20 entry covers $5 Big Bass and 1 in 5 payback. Also a $10 side pot (optional). It will be fun so come on out and join us!
All tournaments are held out of Bartow County Gatewood Park: Exit GA-20 exit on I-75 and turn east, Turn south at the light (right from I-75, left from Canton) next to Wendy's onto Spur 20. Go about 2 miles and turn left on Jim Knight Rd., Turn left when it dead ends at the Bartow Beach Rd. (right in front of the COE maintenance yard). Stay on the Beach road and stay to the left past the park Manager's house and follow the signs to the left to the boat ramp. We usually collect money at the top of the parking lot near the restrooms, but if I'm not there, I will be down by the boat ramp in one of the handicap spaces

Beautiful day, except that darned high pressure moved in on us this afternoon. It started out partly cloudy with light and variable winds, then cleared off with some pretty stout WNW winds. I don't know about everybody else but those bluebird skies pretty much shut our fish down! We had a great turn out today with 29 paid entries (30 boats including mine), 54 anglers. There were only 41 fish weighed in, in fact 16 boats did not weigh any fish!

It never fails though, someone will stumbled onto the right bass in the right place and today was no exception;

We had a tie at 5th place so we put 5th and 6th place money together and divided in half.

5th place went to Terry and Fatrat with 3 fish for 5.23lbs and $33, Billy and Jarrod got the other half with the same weight and money!

4th place went to Jeff and Scott with 3 fish for 5.28lbs for $74

3rd place went to matt and Jeff with 3 fish for 5.92lbs and $87

2nd place went to Brent T. with 3 fish for 7.04lbs and $100

1st place went to the man with hardest last name to pronounce so we just call him Paul H. Paul had 3 fish for 9.66 for $108, And side pot of $300. Paul's big fish was a little more than just "respectable" at 7.24lbs!!!! and that was worth $145
