SO WHAT IF IT'S SUPER BOWL SUNDAY!?!? LOL! It doesn't start until about 6:30 in the evening. You can get a great afternoon of fishing in, get home, put the boat up, get cleaned up, grab some grub and watch the game! That sounds like a pretty danged good day to me! Well, I will be out there for sure and I sure hope to see ya'll out there too!! 1:00PM till 5PM. $20 entry covers $5 Big Bass and 1 in 5 payback. Also a $10 side pot (optional). It will be fun so come on out and join us! All tournaments are held out of Bartow County Gatewood Park: Exit GA-20 exit on I-75 and turn east, Turn south at the light (right from I-75, left from Canton) next to Wendy's onto Spur 20. Go about 2 miles and turn left on Jim Knight Rd., Turn left when it dead ends at the Bartow Beach Rd. (right in front of the COE maintenance yard). Stay on the Beach road and stay to the left past the park Manager's house and follow the signs to the left to the boat ramp. We usually collect money at the top of the parking lot near the restrooms, but if I'm not there, I will be down by the boat ramp in one of the handicap spaces

18 paid entries on Super Bowl Sunday with the dirty Birds in the bowl, that's pretty good!! Light breeze, overcast, high in the mid to upper 50's, Water clear in the main lake with temps around 47.5 degrees. 1/2 the field brought fish to the scales and the rest of us didn't (my partner and I didn't even get a bump!!) There were 30 anglers, 22 fish were weighed for a total of 38.54lbs. Of those, 5 were largemouth, but Big Bass was a 2.82lb spotted bass. We paid 4 places, Big Bass and a side pot. Here are the money spots: 4th went to Rick and Danny with 3 fish for 4.45lbs for $27 3rd place was Mike and Jonathan (being in the money is becoming a habit for these guys!)with 3 fish for 4.96lbs and $54 2nd place went to marc and Goff with 3 largemouth for 6.18lbs (awesome!) and $81 1st place, Big Bass and the side pot went to Jason M. and Wes with 3 fish for 6.90lbs, and Big Bass 2.82lbs. $108 for 1st, $190 Side pot and $90 Big Bass!! Congrats to both of you! We'll be back out there again next Sunday. Right now the long range forecast is showing warmer temps. We'll see what that does for the bite!! Be safe and have a great week!
