Well we are charging through November quickly now. This coming Sunday will already be our 4th event this season! Grab a turkey sandwich from those left overs and join us this Sunday. The weather forecast is looking pretty comfortable with highs around 65 and a light SE wind to 5mph (sure doesn't sound like a forecast for late November!). $20 will take care of the tournament and Big Bass, and there is an optional $10 side pot. Come one out!
All tournaments are held out of Bartow County Gatewood Park: Exit GA-20 exit on I-75 and turn east, Turn south at the light (right from I-75, left from Canton) next to Wendy's onto Spur 20. Go about 2 miles and turn left on Jim Knight Rd., Turn left when it dead ends at the Bartow Beach Rd. (right in front of the COE maintenance yard). Stay on the Beach road and stay to the left past the park Manager's house and follow the signs to the left to the boat ramp. We usually collect money at the top of the parking lot near the restrooms, but if I'm not there, I will be down by the boat ramp in one of the handicap spaces

Pretty nice afternoon with some wind out of the south-southwest, High clouds and cool temps in the low 60s, upper 50s. Water temps around 58 degrees and clear! The lake is almost 8' down and tracking pretty close on the drawdown schedule. We had 22 paid entries with 23 boats (including mine). Out of those 23 boats we had 6 boats that did not weigh fish, although I head a couple of folks say they just released theirs because of the size of the fish.
Any way, we had a total of 39 anglers weighing in 45 fish for a total of 62.79lbs (avg 1.40lbs per fish), and 4 largemouth weighed. Big Bass was a beautiful spotted bass at 4.47lbs!
Here's how the money paid out:
5th place went to Bob and Jason Allen with 3 fish for 5.40lbs and $33
4th place went to Jim and Joe C with 3 fish for 5.47lbs and $50
3rd place went to Richard K. with 3 fish for 5.81lbs and $66, he anchored that creel with the 4.47 Spot for Big Bass at $110
2nd place went to Rick G. and Mike G. with 3 fish for 6.54lbs for $82
1st place went to Jason and Jace with 3 fish for 6.97lbs for $99 and the side pot of $230!
Great Job to the money spots! Next weekend is the Allatoona Four Seasons Championship so we won't be fishing. WE will be back on Dec 11th and Dec 18th.
