Here we go again, only now we are into the final month of the night fishing season for the Porko events. We have this one and one more later this month. If you haven't been to one of these events yet, then now's the time! We have been averaging around 32 to 35 boats each time. Any time we have more than 30 boats we pay 6 places, Big Bass and a side pot. it can generate some healthy pay outs! You could be one of those folks getting paid, but the only way you'll get it is by coming on out! hopefully, we will see you guys this weekend!

$60 will get you in everything $40 to a 1-5 payback, $10 Big Bass pot (Big Bass must be alive), $10 for an optional side pot!
All tournaments are held out of Bartow County Gatewood Park: Exit GA-20 exit on I-75 and turn east, Turn south at the light (right from I-75, left from Canton) next to Wendy's onto Spur 20. Go about 2 miles and turn left on Jim Knight Rd., Turn left when it dead ends at the Bartow Beach Rd. (right in front of the COE maintenance yard). Stay on the Beach road and stay to the left past the park Manager's house and follow the signs to the left to the boat ramp. We usually collect money at the top of the parking lot near the restrooms, but if I'm not there, I will be down by the boat ramp in one of the handicap spaces

Still in Virginia... Lake Gaston. We're starting construction on another power plant just 15 miles down the road from the first on we did. First time I didn't have to move.

I hope you make it back here some day, I noticed you still "troll" the TFF from time to time.

First time this summer that the parking lot was pretty much ours! The weather was pr3tty nice except it got pretty windy around about Midnight till weigh in. You could see Thunderstorms to our north so I suspect we were getting the outflow winds from those storms.
The turn out was down for some reason last night with only 25 paid entries. I guess it might've been for college football or the bow hunters first weekend in the woods, who knows? Out of those 25 entries we had 45 anglers weighing in 81 fish (9 entries did not weigh fish). The total weight was 150.88 for an average of 1.86lbs per fish (up a little from the last few tournaments). There were four large-mouth bass brought to the scales, including the Big Bass at 6.59lbs (forgive me for not getting a picture of that pig!).
Anyway, it took 10.01lbs to get in the money! There were some nice limits brought to the scales beyond the top five as well, there were 5 more limits in the 9-10lb range! We paid the top five last night and here's how it went:
5th place went to Brian C. with 5 fish for 10.01lbs and $90
4th place went to Scott and Grizz with 5 fish for 10.18lbs for $150
3rd place went to Stacy and Denis with 5 fish for 10.67lbs for $200
2nd place went to Daniel and Trent with 5 fish for 11.43lbs and $250
1st place went to Fatrat and Jarrod with 5 fish for 12.59lbs for $300, Side Pot for $260 and Big Bass (6.59lbs) for $250

Again I apologize to Fatrat and Jarrod for not getting a picture of the Big Bass, it was a beauty. Tom, those danged "pool shoes" went in the trash as soon as I took them off when I got home!
The last Midnight Madness event for this season is September 24, hopefully we will see a great turnout for the last one so try and make it!
Until then be safe, be careful and catch fish!!
