It's time for another event and I know from all the calls I got last weekend that a bunch of you are ready!! so come on out and join us! $60 will get you in everything $40 to a 1-5 payback, $10 Big Bass pot (Big Bass must be alive), $10 for an optional side pot!
All tournaments are held out of Bartow County Gatewood Park: Exit GA-20 exit on I-75 and turn east, Turn south at the light (right from I-75, left from Canton) next to Wendy's onto Spur 20. Go about 2 miles and turn left on Jim Knight Rd., Turn left when it dead ends at the Bartow Beach Rd. (right in front of the COE maintenance yard). Stay on the Beach road and stay to the left past the park Manager's house and follow the signs to the left to the boat ramp. We usually collect money at the top of the parking lot near the restrooms
.

What a nice evening to be on the water. it was a little humid, but the clouds kept the temps comfortable. After the sunset, the clouds disappeared giving way to a beautiful 3/4 moon the rest of the night. The fishing was pretty decent, or at least that's what the results show. Out of 35 entries, 11 entries didn't weigh any fish. That doesn't mean they didn't catch any though because a lot of folks look at the livewell and make a judgment as to whether it's worth weighing them or not.

In the final analysis, somebody always manages to figure them out. While we didn't see any sacks that would make folks raise their eyebrows, we did see a bunch of solid limits. There were 11 limits greater than 8 pounds, 6 of those were greater than 9 pounds. out of the 35 paid entries, we had 69 anglers weighing 116 fish for a total of 185.4lbs (average 1.60lbs per fish).

Here's how the money paid out:

Big Bass went to Scott and Griz with a 3.44lb LMB for $350

6th place went to Chris M with 5 fish for 9.11lbs and $70

5th place went to Bill P. and Chad with 9.16lbs and $140

4th place was Gary F. and Mark with 5 fish for 9.20lbs and $238

3rd place was Charlie Mac and Joe with 5 fish for 9.54lbs $280

2nd place went to Michel and Brian with 5 fish for 9.67lbs and $322

1st place went to Fat Rat and Jarrod ("carries the Old Man") with 5 fish for 9.91lbs and $350 for first and $360 for the side pot!!

It was great seeing you guys last night and hopefully the weather will be as nice or nicer for the next one in two weeks on Aug 27, 2016

See you then!!!
