We finished up the Sunday Afternoons, and we are ready to start up the night-time tournaments! I am ready and hope that you are too!! The fees, rules and process is exactly like it was last year, no change. Here's a quick run down of the event:
We start at 7PM and run to 2AM
Blast off is one at a time, your boat number is in the order that you sign up. the last one signed in is the blast-off guy (gets to call out the numbers and get everyone out of there!)
There is a $40 entry for a 1:5 payback (1 place for every 5 entries up to 30 entries and it's 6 places regardless after that)
Big Bass is $10 and the Big Bass MUST be alive
There is also an optional side pot of $10, Winner take all based on total creel weight (this pot is usually the biggest payback!)
For everything, the total amount of cash required is $60.
Rules are that we do not allow live bait and there is only one dead fish allowed (no penalty). No more than one dead fish will be weighed per angler.
We will have a good schedule this year with two tournaments per month May through September, here are the dates:
May 14, 2016 and May 28, 2016
June 11, 2016 and June 25, 2016
July 9, 2016 and July 23, 2016
August 13, 2016 and August 27, 2016
September 10, and September 24, 2016
All tournaments are held out of Bartow County Gatewood Park: Exit GA-20 exit on I-75 and turn east, Turn south at the light (right from I-75, left from Canton) next to Wendy's onto Spur 20. Go about 2 miles and turn left on Jim Knight Rd., Turn left when it dead ends at the Bartow Beach Rd. (right in front of the COE maintenance yard). Stay on the Beach road and stay to the left past the park Manager's house and follow the signs to the left to the boat ramp. We usually collect money at the top of the parking lot near the restrooms.
We do allow folks to come to the event by water, if someone request to look at your livewell do not be offended. It is not a requirement, but a courtesy if someone should be concerned. In the history of my events I have never had one single complaint about folks cheating.
Tracker topics will be posted the week prior to each event in the tournament sections of www.georgiafishingforum.com and www.allatoonabass.proboards.com and on Facebook on the Allatoona Tournament Group page
