Hey everyone, sorry it has been a while since I have been on here. I hope all has been going well for y’all. Things have been going well for me both in school and in tournaments. I have been extremely busy but I am very thankful and blessed everything I get to do right now. I finally had the chance to upgrade to a bigger boat over Christmas Break so I can do more things when I do fish as a boater. Hopefully I can share some more updates on my fishing sometime soon. The biggest news is a leave for the Ray Scott National Championship taking place on Lake Hartwell next week!! It will be the “biggest Payout” to the weekend Angler. I am confident I will do really well on this lake for this time of year. I will be fishing it as a Co-angler. First place for the Co-angler is: -2 Year Lease on a Ram Truck -Triton TRX 19 with 200 or 225hp Pro XS -& $15,000 or $20,000 CASH
**************Announcement**************
Bob Smith AKA “Porko” is helping me run the next Kennesaw State University Fishing Team Fundraiser Tournament. It will take place April 23rd at Gatewood Ramp on Lake Allatoona. This is an open tournament for anyone to fish (College and local anglers). -$75 entry fee (Fish solo or with a partner) -1:5 Payout ($25 per entry goes to the club) -Will have lots of sponsor products to have for top finishers and to do a raffle. I am working out the details with some companies to sponsor the event. The last one we rain was the day after Black Friday in 2014 and was a great success. In that event we had just over 20 boats and raised just over $800 for the club. I have been sharing this information with many fishing buddies and I believe if I keep working hard we will have the 30-40 boat range if not more. I am working hard to try and get another big raffle item like a Raymarine touch screen unit like last time. It will be a really exciting event with lots of opportunities to win some great products. It should be great weather and fishing should be on fire.
If you have any additional questions you can always give me a call or text at (770)-596-0446. If you could spread the word to your fishing buddies about this event that would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks for your time, God Bless and Tightlines!!

Short background on the KSU fishing team. We are up to 15 active members on the team with about 6 of them that own a bass boat.
Participation in bigger collegiate events has increased. We will have partipation In all 3 major collegiate series this year. -BASS Southern Regional -FLW Southeastern Collegiate Series -ACA BoatUS Collegiate Series
Then in the fall it sounds like we will fish in the Fishlife Collegiate Tour.
We had 5 boats from the team fish in the BASS Southern Collegiate Regional at Lake Martin this past February. Long story short 4 of the 5 boats had some sort of issues happen including my own. 1 blown powerhead, 3 lower units.. The top finishing team finished 27th place and top 26 qualified for the BASS Collegiate National Championship taking place this summer. They missed the cut by 3 ounces!! Or if 1 more boat would of fished in the event then they would of qualified. So close!!
We will have participation For FLW May 21st on Lake Guntersville.
May 25-28th for the ACA BoatUS National Championship on Pickwick Lake.
Then a few of us are planning to go fish the BASS Wildcard event that will most likely take place June 7-11th in conjunction with Bassmaster BASSFest. I am thinking the Wildcard event may take place on Ray Roberts Lake since it is not on the same lake as Bassfest (Lake Texoma). Talk about a long haul with a boat!!
Then we will have participation in September for another FLW Southeastern Event on Lake Chickamuaga.
I have also been recruiting some new members about to graduate high school and will be attending KSU this upcoming fall.
I am excited the direction the fishing team is heading. All of this hard work is and will be paying off.
The funding we raise in the tournament is applied to our hotel and fuel expense for the boats and trucks for all of these bigger events.
With your support makes it possible for myself and the fishing team to be able to participate in such events.

Ray Roberts and Texoma are two of my old haunts! This year should be interesting since they are both finally back up and full! Roberts is a great largemouth venue and Texoma has largemouth and big Smallmouth!
