The next to last one of the season is upon us now. A nice warm stretch of weather should turn things up a bit. We also have the start of Daylight Savings Time this coming Sunday, so if everyone is ready we can fish an extra hour. Weigh in will be 6PM instead of 5PM. come on out and join us!
From I-75 North or South, Take Exit 290 (Cartersville/GA20 Exit) Travel East on GA 20 approximately 500 feet and take a right on GA Spur 20 (Between Kangaroo Grocery and Wendy's), travel approximately 3 miles and take a left on Bartow County Beach Road (the Corps signs no longer exist, so look for the small Gatewood Ramp sign)or turn left on Jim Knight Rd. and go till it dead-ends to Bartow County Beach Rd and turn left. Travel to the end of Bartow County Beach Road and the ramp will be on your left

The weather was pretty darned nice, with the exceptions of a little bit of wind. No rain, partly cloudy, temps in the 70s and water temps in the low 60s most places Stan and I fished today. The lake was pulled down almost three feet over the last week with the level being steady since Wednesday at 833' MSL (or 7' under summer pool) and water clarity about Allatoona normal.
We had 21 paid entries today, including Stan and I there were 40 anglers out there today, we weighed a total of 44 fish for 79.77lbs (average of 1.81lbs per fish)
There were five places paid today, Big Bass and a side pot of $220. here are the money winners:
5th place went to Todd and Larry with 3 fish for 5.37lbs and $32
4th place went to Michael D. and Jarrod with 3 fish for 5.82lbs and $47
3rd place was Fat Rat and Terry with 3 fish for 6.20lbs and $63[size:14pt]
2nd place went to Ricky and Danny T. with 3 fish for 6.56lbs and $79
1st place went to Mike W. and Gene with a total of 3 fish weighing 6.91lbs for $94, Big Bass with a big old Spot weighing 3.58lbs for $105, and the side pot of $220 (SWWEEETT!)
The last Sunday afternoon tournament of this season is coming up next weekend, Come on out and let's end this season with a bunch of folks fishing!![/size]
