With all the rain this week so far and more on the way tonight and tomorrow I would be willing to bet the lake is going to rise a couple of feet before Sunday (we are already 1 1/2' higher than this past Sunday! Patterns will change with the rising water! Better for some folks and worse for others! Sunday is looking like a really nice day weather wise, so come on out and join us. $20 entry (includes $5 Big Bass), and a $10 Winner Take All side pot. 3 fish limit, one dead fish allowed, Big Bass must be alive. The entry is up to you, you can fish it as a team or individual. You can weigh 3 fish per entry. I do not have a limit on the number folks allowed in the boat so if you want to bring Momma and the kids, I am good with that. The times on the Sunday Afternoon events is 1PM till 5PM. I am there around noon to collect entries. The last boat signed up gets "blast off honors" for a 1 at a time by boat number blast off. From I-75 North or South, Take Exit 290 (Cartersville/GA20 Exit) Travel East on GA 20 approximately 500 feet and take a right on GA Spur 20 (Between Kangaroo Grocery and Wendy's), travel approximately 3 miles and take a left on Bartow County Beach Road (the Corps signs no longer exist, so look for the small Gatewood Ramp sign)or turn left on Jim Knight Rd. and go till it dead-ends to Bartow County Beach Rd and turn left. Travel to the end of Bartow County Beach Road and the ramp will be on your left

Aside from the wind blowing pretty good at times, the weather was beautiful with highs in the upper 60s, clear skies (too Blue!!). Wally and I fished up in Stamps Creek and McCaskey Creek today and found the water to be stained to lightly stained and ranging from 51 degrees to almost 54 degrees. The bite was really tough for us, with two short fish and one keeper. Judging from the fact that we had 29 entries 930 boats in all), and only 10 entries that weighed fish, I would say we were in good company! lol!
When it was all said and done there were 57 anglers weighing 30 fish for a total weight of 38.8lbs (ouch! That's a catch ratio of .57 fish per person!)
We ended paying 6 plcs, Big Bass and a Side Pot today and here's won the money:
6th place went to Allan and Bugg with 3 fish for 4.04lbs and $22
5th place was Jarrod and Billy with 3 fish for 4.38lbs for $44
4th place was Josh and Kevin with 3 fish for 4.42lbs and $74
3rd place went to Mike C and Monty with 3 fish for 4.53lbs and $87
2nd place went to Brett and Baylee with 3 fish for 4.93lbs and $100 (no giants today, but in light of the weights today, still respectable)
1st place went to my buddies Fatrat and Terry with 3 fish for 5.81lbs for $108 and Side Pot of $290, and Big Bass of 4.00lbs for $145!
I enjoyed seeing all of you folks out there today and look forward to next weekend, hopefully the fish will cooperate a bit better! I tip my hat to the folks who earned the money today (including you too Ms., Baylee!!).
