YES, we are going to have a Valentine's Day Tournament! Take Momma out for breakfast then take her fishing with you! In fact there are several gals that fish with us that would think that would be a FINE IDEA! Going to be in the low 40s this Sunday to bundle up warm and come out and join us!

From I-75 North or South, Take Exit 290 (Cartersville/GA20 Exit) Travel East on GA 20 approximately 500 feet and take a right on GA Spur 20 (Between Kangaroo Grocery and Wendy's), travel approximately 3 miles and take a left on Bartow County Beach Road (the Corps signs no longer exist, so look for the small Gatewood Ramp sign)or turn left on Jim Knight Rd. and go till it dead-ends to Bartow County Beach Rd and turn left. Travel to the end of Bartow County Beach Road and the ramp will be on your left

Happy Valentine's Day. It was pretty chilly and very windy. Like in the low 40s with a constant and sometimes gusty wind out of the SSE. Pretty much overcast for most of the afternoon. Water temps ranged from 44 to almost 46 degrees. Water clarity was reportedly heavy stain around Galts, to clear around Bethany Bridge. There were only 12 paid entries and a total of 25 anglers out there today, only two boats did not weigh anything. here were 31 fish weighed in for a total of 73.33lbs and a healthy average of 2.37lbs per fish. We had 5 fish over 4 lbs weighed in, one was a largemouth and the other four including Big Bass were all spotted bass. Big Bass actually went to a 5.32lb spot. The big girls are starting to show up more and more!! here are the top three places, which are coincidentally the same top three in the same order as last Sunday!
3rd place went to Mike G with three fish for 8.65lbs and $36
2nd place went to Corey and Tony with 3 fish for 8.71lbs and Big Bass of 5.32lbs, their payday was $54 for 2nd and $60 for Big Bass
1st place went to Ricky and Mike (too cold for Telica this weekend) with 3 fish for 9.06lbs for $90 and the side pot of $130.

Next weekend looks to be much warmer, so maybe the cold stuff is done for a couple of weeks. come on out and join us. Those of you who are wondering what these fish came on, crankbaits, A-rigs and Jigs are the most common report that I got. Sometimes they get a little tight lipped on the colors and locations though.
