Our second 2016 tournament is coming up this Sunday. Allatoona has peaked and the they are pulling it back down. That will be going on for a few weeks no doubt. The weather is calling for mostly cloudy with a high around 50 degrees (we know that can change over a few days time!). Regardless, unless there is ice on the roads or some other travel limiting weather event we will be there! So come on out and join us!
From I-75 North or South, Take Exit 290 (Cartersville/GA20 Exit) Travel East on GA 20 approximately 500 feet and take a right on GA Spur 20 (Between Kangaroo Grocery and Wendy's), travel approximately 3 miles and take a left on Bartow County Beach Road (the Corps signs no longer exist, so look for the small Gatewood Ramp sign)or turn left on Jim Knight Rd. and go till it dead-ends to Bartow County Beach Rd and turn left. Travel to the end of Bartow County Beach Road and the ramp will be on your left

The day I made the Tracker, the forecast looked pretty nice. Today was, well, a tad bit on the chilly side! Started out around 40 degrees and ended up at 37 degrees, with a pretty hefty wind out of the WNW. The main lake area around Gatewood to the dam was extremely stained, but cleared up as you went up the Allatoona from the bridge on back to the Clark and Tanyard area before it got muddy again. Water temps were around 51 degrees most places I went today.
We managed to have only 11 paid entries today for a total of 22 anglers. We weighed 27 fish for a total of 52.13lbs (an average of 1.93lbs, pretty good average!). There were only three places paid with Big Bass and a side pot. Here are the money spots:
3rd place went to Steven and Tommy with 3 fish for 5.92lbs for $33
2nd place went to Tom and Ken with 3 fish for 6.84lbs for $50 and A 4.57lb spot for Big Bass at $55
1st place was Brent and Mark with 3 fish for 7.63lbs for $82 and the side pot for $120
Hopefully we will see more of you out here next weekend! They are pulling the lake at a pretty good rate right now, so it should come down another 7 feet or so before next Sunday, With no more rain it should start to settle down a little bit too.
Have a safe work week
