Alrighty, we have a pretty roll going on with the Porko's Sunday Afternoon. 46 paid entries is the high water mark for this series, last weekend was 38 paid entries.. I would sure like to see us top 50 entries so come on out and join us!! Going to be a little more seasonal this coming weekend, but it still looks pretty nice! From I-75 North or South, Take Exit 290 (Cartersville/GA20 Exit) Travel East on GA 20 approximately 500 feet and take a right on GA Spur 20 (Between Kangaroo Grocery and Wendy's), travel approximately 3 miles and take a left on Bartow County Beach Road (the Corps signs no longer exist, so look for the small Gatewood Ramp sign)or turn left on Jim Knight Rd. and go till it dead-ends to Bartow County Beach Rd and turn left. Travel to the end of Bartow County Beach Road and the ramp will be on your left

Highs' in the low 50s, Winds out of the south generally blowing pretty steady all afternoon and subsiding between 4 and 5 PM, mostly cloudy towards the end of the tourney. We had pretty clear water all over with temps around 56 degrees. There were still 28 paid entries for a total of 53 anglers today. That was down a bit from the last few tournaments but still a great turn out! We are down to one ramp now and about 1 and 1/2' feet away from winter pool at 823" MSL. If they go all the way to 823' there is the likelihood that the county will close the Gatewood boat ramp until it comes back up to 824' MSL. As of right now we will be watching all week. If I get word that the ramp will be closed I will not be able to have any events until it comes up (my permit is with Bartow County). Keep your fingers crossed that the rain will bring it up enough to slow the CoE down on the draining, or maybe they will stop short of total drawdown.
Anyway, here is the way things ended up today:
6th place went to Wesley and Shannon with 3 fish for 5.78lbs and $21
5th place was Mike G. And Sean with 3 fish for 6.54lbs and $42
4th place was Jake D. and Scott with 3 fish for 6.56lbs. and $71
3rd place went to John and Lonnie with 3 fish for 6.75lbs and $84
2nd place went to Mike C. with 3 fish for 7.09lbs for $97 and Big Bass for 3.60lbs (Spotted) for $140
1st place went to Brandon (Skillet) and Bob Smith with 3 fish for 7.27lbs for $105 and side pot of $280
Keep one eye on this website, the Georgia Fishing Forum, Allatoona Bass, or Allatoona Tournament group on Facebook I will keep everyone up to date with the information as I receive it. have a very Merry Christmas and hopefully we will see you next Sunday!
