Weather is looking pretty decent in the long range forecast. We had a great turn out last Sunday and I would love to see you folks again so come on out!
From I-75 North or South, Take Exit 290 (Cartersville/GA20 Exit) Travel East on GA 20 approximately 500 feet and take a right on GA Spur 20 (Between Kangaroo Grocery and Wendy's), travel approximately 3 miles and take a left on Bartow County Beach Road (the Corps signs no longer exist, so look for the small Gatewood Ramp sign)or turn left on Jim Knight Rd. and go till it dead-ends to Bartow County Beach Rd and turn left. Travel to the end of Bartow County Beach Road and the ramp will be on your left

Pretty nice afternoon for December with a high around 60, partly to mostly cloudy and little or no wind. The water temps were around 57 degrees most places that Wally and I fished. The water is still remarkably clear considering the rain we had this week, at least around the Gatewood area. We had 32 paid entries, 33 boats with mine, a total of 60 anglers, more and more little folks (really makes me smile to see those guys!) a couple women out there to show the guys that they can catch fish TOO! We had 53 fish brought to the scales for a total of 90.35lbs (average of 1.70lbs per fish, one of the best averages this year). There were only 3 large-mouths weighed, but a spot ended up with Big Bass honors at 4.20lbs. S hearty thanks to all who donated for the annual tournament permit, that was much appreciated.

here's the way it came out when the smoke cleared:

6th place went to Stephen and Garret with 3 fish for 5.30lbs and $24

5th place was Jim and Joe C. with 3 fish for 5.61lbs and $48

4th place went to Monty and Kris with 3 fish for 5.78lbs and $82

3rd place was Justin M. and Chris W. with 3 fish for 6.11lbs and $96

2nd place was Timmy and Andrew with 3 fish for 6.43lbs and $110

1st place went to the Mighty Jason M with 3 fish for 7.25lbs and Big Bass of 4.20lbs, his collection was $120 for First place, $320 for the side pot, and $160 for Big Bass A W E S O M E!!!!!

We will re-convene next Sunday to do it again! come on out!!!
