The second one of the season is coming up this Sunday. I will be there, RAIN or SHINE (Tom) and fishing! It would appear that Wally is planning on fishing with me too! As much as I appreciate the ribbing and picking from my good friend Tom, I need to pay him back! LOL, I'm coming for ya, TOM! Ya'll come on out and join us! up

From I-75 North or South, Take Exit 290 (Cartersville/GA20 Exit) Travel East on GA 20 approximately 500 feet and take a right on GA Spur 20 (Between Kangaroo Grocery and Wendy's), travel approximately 3 miles and take a left on Bartow County Beach Road (the Corps signs no longer exist, so look for the small Gatewood Ramp sign)or turn left on Jim Knight Rd. and go till it dead-ends to Bartow County Beach Rd and turn left. Travel to the end of Bartow County Beach Road and the ramp will be on your left

Well, my nephew is out. He went deer hunting for the weekend. I'll get him out there later on in the winter.

I can't speak for Stan, but I can promise you my boat WILL be there. Looking like a chance that everyone's boat will get wet again this afternoon! Dang it all, I am sooooooo tired of all this rain! It's like living in Seattle!

Alright now! I am really , REALLY, tired of the rain! It was cool (felt cold), windy and very wet this afternoon! We had 20 paid entries and 21 boats, including my rig. There were 38 anglers all total (38 cold and wet anglers), we brought 35 fish to the scales for a total of 55.08lbs (an average of 1.57lbs per fish). The lake is definite up from last weekend with all the rain, and remarkably clear on the end of the lake nearest the dam The water temp in Stamps and McCaskey creeks, this afternoon, was between 66 and 67 degrees.

We actually had a tie for first place this evening, we added 1st and 2nd place together and split it in half for the two winning entries, and split the side pot too. The following is how the money paid out:

3rd place (would've been 4th) went to Jim and Joe with 3 fish for 5.11LBS, and $30

2nd (would've been 3rd) went to Monty and Kris with 3 fish for 5.69LBs and $60

Jake and Jason tied with Lowell J. with 3 fish ea for 5.81LBs. Good for $105 for 1st, $90 ea for Side Pot,

Lowell had Big Bass with a 3.05LB spot for $100

I reckon we need to pull for some sunshine next weekend! Surely we can get at least one weekend with no rain! LOL. Anyway, I hope to see all of you out there next Sunday!
