The weather last Sunday wasn't too terribly bad, but the fishing was horrible! Let's see what a difference a week makes. We will back out there for another shot at it this coming Sunday. I hope to see you guys out there too!

From I-75 North or South, Take Exit 290 (Cartersville/GA20 Exit) Travel East on GA 20 approximately 500 feet and take a right on GA Spur 20 (Between Kangaroo Grocery and Wendy's), travel approximately 3 miles and take a left on Bartow County Beach Road (the Corps signs no longer exist, so look for the small Gatewood Ramp sign)or turn left on Jim Knight Rd. and go till it dead-ends to Bartow County Beach Rd and turn left. Travel to the end of Bartow County Beach Road and the ramp will be on your left cheers

Well the fishing was a little better this Sunday. At least for some! lol! Wally and I struggled, never got a bite, except for one that Wally felt tug on a deep diving jerkbait. It was overcast and occasional misting. Temps in the 50s with an East Wind around 5-10MPH. Water temps were 42.3 to 43 degrees everywhere Wally and I went. The water color and clarity is coming back now, in fact the back of Clear Creek looked pretty nice.
Today we had 12 paid entries with a total 25 anglers slugging it out. Only six boats weighed fish and we know of one boat who released before weighing. There were 13 fish weighed for a total of 18.58lbs and Big Bass was a 2.74lbs. Spotted Bass. Here's how the money spots came down:
3rd place went to Wesley and Justin with 3 fish for 3.56lbs and $36
2nd place went to Stan and Lonnie with 3 fish for 4.27lbs and $54
1st place went to Joe and Steve with 3 fish for 5.32lbs for $90, Big Bass was 2.74lbs for $60 and the side pot of $130
Congrats to the money winners.
We are down to the final two events for this Winter's Sunday Afternoon tournaments. Hopefully, we will see a good turnout over the next two Sundays! Come on out and join us!
