Alright, the lake is rising so we might have both ramps open this weekend. I am crossing my fingers for some decent weather, but I will be out there regardless. so come on out and join us.
From I-75 North or South, Take Exit 290 (Cartersville/GA20 Exit) Travel East on GA 20 approximately 500 feet and take a right on GA Spur 20 (Between Kangaroo Grocery and Wendy's), travel approximately 3 miles and take a left on Bartow County Beach Road (the Corps signs no longer exist, so look for the small Gatewood Ramp sign)or turn left on Jim Knight Rd. and go till it dead-ends to Bartow County Beach Rd and turn left. Travel to the end of Bartow County Beach Road and the ramp will be on your left

Well it appears that we are finally going to get a nice break in the weather for this Sunday! Partly Cloudy, 62 degrees for a high with 5-10 mph SSW winds. No rain between now and then, a stabile lake level and even a good chance that we will have both ramps open on Sunday. Come on out and enjoy it with us!

Beautiful weather this afternoon!!! High around 65, partly cloudy skies, light breezes made for a very comfortable afternoon. The water was pretty stained most places I fished today with water temps from 48 to 49 degrees. I shared the afternoon with 30 other anglers making up 18 paid entries. Fishing was tough for me and several others, but as always there were several limits brought in. The totals were 18 fish for 30.61lbs. With that we paid 4 places, Big Bass and a side pot. Here's how it paid out:
4th place went to Fat Rat and Terry with 3 fish for 4.95LBs for $27
3rd place was Alex and Scott with 3 fish for 5.21lbs and $54
2nd place went to Wallace and Johnson with 3 fist for 5.35lbs for $81, They also had Big Bass honors with a 3.40lb Spot for $90
1st place was Lonnie with 3 fish for 6.06lbs for $108 and the side pot of $180
We'll see yall next Sunday! Come on out and join us!
