With the lake level at 827' MSL I am betting we will have only one ramp open tomorrow. The good news is that this week's rain didn't come in torrential downpours, so the lake is still clearing up. The weather is looking really good for tomorrow afternoon with a high 58 degrees, partly cloudy with a 5-10MPH SSW wind. Hopefully, the big girls will be wanting to bite tomorrow too and we will see some good sacks at the weigh in! Hopefully, we will see a bunch of ya out there tomorrow!
From I-75 North or South, Take Exit 290 (Cartersville/GA20 Exit) Travel East on GA 20 approximately 500 feet and take a right on GA Spur 20 (Between Kangaroo Grocery and Wendy's), travel approximately 3 miles and take a left on Bartow County Beach Road (the Corps signs no longer exist, so look for the small Gatewood Ramp sign)or turn left on Jim Knight Rd. and go till it dead-ends to Bartow County Beach Rd and turn left. Travel to the end of Bartow County Beach Road and the ramp will be on your left

Well, the temperature was nice around 60ish, but there was a tad bit more than a 8MPH wind or at least it felt like more. There was pretty much a wide spread stain on the lake today with water temps around 46 to 47 degrees. We had 32 anglers and 16 paid entries today weighing 16 fish for a total of 38.18lbs. That means that only 6 boats brought fish to the scales, I know of at least 2-3 boats who released fish at the ramp (including Monty and I). Those who brought fish to the scales had pretty darned good day! We paid 4 places with the top three places over 8 pounds! Here's out it actually paid out today:
4th place went to Jim and Joe with 3 fish for 5.95lbs (All LMB!)for $24
3rd place was Lonnie and Stan with 3 fish for 8.19lbs for $48
2nd was Stephen and Zach with 3 fish for 8.97lbs for $72
1st place went to Tom and Ken with 3 fish for 9.63lbs and Big Bass of 4.62lbs. For their efforts they were awarded $80 for Big Bass, $96 for 1st and $150 for the side pot!
We'll be back out there next Sunday so come on out and join us!
