Wow 2014 flew by! We are already looking to our first event of 2015 this coming Sunday. I sure hope to see all of you out there this weekend. Whatever you do, be safe over the NEW YEAR"S Holiday weekend. Don't get too crazy and watch the other drivers! Friends are hard to replace! up

From I-75 North or South, Take Exit 290 (Cartersville/GA20 Exit) Travel East on GA 20 approximately 500 feet and take a right on GA Spur 20 (Between Kangaroo Grocery and Wendy's), travel approximately 3 miles and take a left on Bartow County Beach Road (the Corps signs no longer exist, so look for the small Gatewood Ramp sign)or turn left on Jim Knight Rd. and go till it dead-ends to Bartow County Beach Rd and turn left. Travel to the end of Bartow County Beach Road and the ramp will be on your left

Up here in Cartersville we got between 2.5 and 3.0 inches of rain from the storm last night. Here's what it did to the lake

Started out mostly cloudy, temps in the mid 50s, west wind increasing all afternoon up to about 20 out of the NNW. The muddy water is coming in everywhere from the rain this weekend. The cleanest water appears to be in the area from Eagle Scout Cove to the Dam. McCaskey was rolling red from the second reef markers on. All of this added up for a tough day of fishing! Regardless, we ended up with 16 paid entries for a total of 35 anglers today. There were 22 fish brought to the scales for a total of 25.04lbs (avg 1.14lbs per fish), with only 1 largemouth today. We paid 4 places, Big Bass and a side pot. Here's how the money places came down:

4th place was Ricky and Mike with 3 fish for 3.7lbs and $24

3rd place was Will and Robbie with 3 fish for 3.80lbs and $48

2nd place was Paul and Mike with 3 fish for 4.71lbs for $72, they also had big bass with a 2.43lb Spotted bass for $80

1st place went to Jim and Joe with 3 fish for 5.15lbs and $96 and the side pot of $160!

We will be back out there again next Sunday so come on out and join us!
