I am glad I am not the only one who felt like it was cold! I reckon the weather man, weather channel and NOAA all seems to need some recalibration. I don't think it felt warmer than the lower 40s and the wind didn't feel like it was less than 15-20 MPH all afternoon! I reckon we're a rugged bunch because there were 21 boats out there with 41 anglers going at it this afternoon. We only brought 29 fish to the scales for a total of 37.99lbs (avg 1.31lbs per fish). There were 5 Largemouth brought to the scales with the largest earning big bass honors at 3.58lbs.
Here's how the money paid out:
4th place went to Brandon and Kacy with 3 fish for 4.31lbs for $30
3rd place went to Alex, Jason and Jackson with 3 fish for 4.81lbs and $60
2nd place went to Ricky with 3 fish for 5.33 and the kicker largemouth of 3.58lbs, he won $90 for 3rd and $100 for Big Bass
1st place went to Ben and Steve with 3 fish for 5.79lbs for $120 and a side pot of $180.
They are still pulling the lake pretty hard. Its down to 824.32' MSL as of 7:40PM Sunday night. If it reaches 823.5 this week, Bartow County will probably close the ramp until it comes back up to the 823.5 plus. Please watch this forum for an announcement. I do not have a backup ramp and do not plan to pay the CoE for another ramp for just a couple of weeks. I will probably just wait it out. Stay tuned
