This Saturday night from 7PM till 2AM! The weather is looking fantastic and the fishing is getting good! So come on out and join us. I will be there around 6PM to collect entries and get the last night event of the season done!

We hold all of our events out of the Gatewood Boat ramp in Bartow County, here are the directions:
From I-75 North or South, Take Exit 290 (Cartersville/GA20 Exit) Travel East on GA 20 approximately 500 feet and take a right on GA Spur 20 (Between Kangaroo Grocery and Wendy's), travel approximately 3 miles and take a left on Bartow County Beach Road (the Corps signs no longer exist, so look for the small Gatewood Ramp sign)or turn left on Jim Knight Rd. and go till it dead-ends to Bartow County Beach Rd and turn left. Travel to the end of Bartow County Beach Road and the ramp will be on your left

Beautiful night to be on the water. The weather was nearly perfect! Water temps were in the low 80s every place that Stan and I fished! The boat traffic was very light. Pretty much us and the Victoria bunch on the lake and maybe a few houseboats and pontoons. Our last event was light as well. We had only 12 paid entries, the lowest one of the year. That could be contributed to the Monday nighters having their championship both Friday and Saturday night, several of our regulars fished that one. We still had fun regardless, those 12 entries and my boat, had a total of 22 anglers on the water. We weighed in 45 fish for a total of 60.28lbs (an average of 1.34lbs per fish). There were only two largemouth bass weighed last night and neither got big bass honors. Here's how the money paid out:
Big Bass for $120 went to Bob and Stan with a whopping (sarcastically) 2.84 spotted bass!
3rd place went to Gary F. and Mark with 5 fish for 7.50lbs, good for $96
2nd place was Chris with 5 fish for 7.55lbs and $144
1st place went to Mike D. and Mike C. with 5 fish for 8.04lbs, for $240 and another $230 in the side pot!

That was the last Midnight Madness event for 2014, now it's time to focus on the Sunday Afternoons starting the first Sunday in November and every Sunday through the end of March 2015! Be watching for more information on these!
I enjoyed it this year and hope you did too!
