Well, we're winding down from a long summer. There are only two more Midnight Madness events left for this season. I sure hope to see all of you folks for the last two! Come on out and help us end this one with the biggest turn-outs of the season!

We hold all of our events out of the Gatewood Boat ramp in Bartow County, here are the directions:
From I-75 North or South, Take Exit 290 (Cartersville/GA20 Exit) Travel East on GA 20 approximately 500 feet and take a right on GA Spur 20 (Between Kangaroo Grocery and Wendy's), travel approximately 3 miles and take a left on Bartow County Beach Road (the Corps signs no longer exist, so look for the small Gatewood Ramp sign)or turn left on Jim Knight Rd. and go till it dead-ends to Bartow County Beach Rd and turn left. Travel to the end of Bartow County Beach Road and the ramp will be on your left

What an absolutely awesome night of fishing! The weather settled down and the pleasure boaters finally went in (the days are shorter so they went in a couple of hours earlier!). The water temps ranged from 86 at tournament start to 83-84 degrees at 2AM this morning. The fish were cooperating, from the reports I got that was the case from Knox bridge to I-75 (and maybe beyond), which pretty much covers the lake from the Etowah to Allatoona Creek.
There were 23 paid entries (24 boats including mine) and a total of 44 anglers out there, there were 21 (5-fish)limits brought to the scales (only three boats did not weigh fish. That's 105 bass for a total of 161.83lbs (avg 1.54lbs). We saw 9 Largemouth bass with the biggest weighing in at 6.23lbs (Congrats Gary F!).
Now for the money spots:
5th place was Jeff and Tim with 5 fish for 9.64lbs and $92
4th place went to Stan and myself with 5 fish for 10.14lbs and $138
3rd place went to Gary F. with 5 fish for 11.00lbs and Big Bass of 6.23lbs, He got $184 for 3rd and $230 for Big Bass
2nd place went to Brian and Doyle with 5 fish for 11.02 for $230
1st place went to Rick and Danny with 5 fish for 11.35lbs for $276.
AWESOME stats!
We have one more Midnight Madness event for this season on Sep 20, 2014. It has a been a hoot this year, so come on out and enjoy the last one with us! Then get ready for the Sunday Afternoon events starting up the first Sunday in November!
