My buddy, Ed, and I hit the lake yesterday from 6AM till a little after 3PM. We launched at Duckett's Mill and fished up the Chestattee (sp) and a little bit on the main lake. The early morning topwater bite resulted in about 5 blowups on a buzzbait (never got one to the boat) and a couple short strikes on a jig and shakey head. As the day wore on we boated 5 bass up to about 15" on shakey head and drop shot. About 11Am the boaters started running, the skiers started skiing, the tubers started tubing, the wake surfers started surfing and the yachters started cruising! by 3PM there wasn't a stretch of bank that wasn't churned up from all the waves! I feel like I have done 150 sit-ups yesterday! My back and stomach muscles are so sore from all the rocking! Hopefully, that was just holiday traffic on the lake. We have a club tournament over there on Sep 13th and I sure hope the fishing is better!
