Cabela's...........how was it? Always just thought of Cabela's as a Hunter's store. Thats why i didn't worry about getting in there any time soon, just don't hunt anymore. They will do well there though, lot of Hunters in the region. I wish them the best.

lots of brands, but not well represented on types and colors. The amazing part of it for me was going in there and coming out empty handed! Just didn't see anything I needed.
I sure saw a bunch of our buddies though!

Well seeing good friends always makes any trip better no matter how big or small. Pretty much figured they would have wide choice of brands but standard in color choices. I know i'll be in there sooner or later.

One Thing I'll say is yes I like supporting our local shops like The Dugout but sometimes you might be looking for a specific lure and color that might be out of stock. Then I swing by a place like Cabela's (being so close) to see if they might have what I am looking for before I order what I need online.

Went to a private invite Monday at Cabela's representing both ABA AFT D125 and the KSU Fishing Team. Got a few members interested for each club smile

I was there also, and I wonder just how many "private invites" they send out! That place was busting at the seams, folks parking all the way out to hwy 92 and anyplace they could four wheels off the street.
!

I believe they had half of the employees at the door greeting folks and trying to get them signed up for a Cabelas Visa card! LOL they were pumping that card hard!

Pro Bass is building a 75,000 sq ft store on the Ga and Tn border. Makes it 22 miles from me.
I still support my local store here.

New Bass Pro Shop being built at the Lake Point facility (Emerson Exit on 75) with a 300 acre preserve. scheduled to open late 2015. I still prefer my local shops for most of the things I like too.

I might go in just to see the store, but will continue to buy my supplies from NTB. If they don't have something, they will get it for you!

I have place up here thats about 6 min from the house Fishing and Hunting is their bread and butter. I would rather pay little bit more than fight drive and people at the other chain stores. If he doesn't have it, they'll get for you. Has lot of stuff the chain stores don't handle.
