We are on the home stretch for the next Midnight Madness, The lake should be a little less crowded this weekend, and hopefully the fishing will be better!

Come on out, I will be there around 6PM to sign folks up, we will start at 7PM and end at 2AM like always. See ya'll out there!

From I-75 North or South, Take Exit 290 (Cartersville/GA20 Exit) Travel East on GA 20 approximately 500 feet and take a right on GA Spur 20 (Between Kangaroo Grocery and Wendy's), travel approximately 3 miles and take a left on Bartow County Beach Road (the Corps signs no longer exist, so look for the small Gatewood Ramp sign)or turn left on Jim Knight Rd. and go till it dead-ends to Bartow County Beach Rd and turn left. Travel to the end of Bartow County Beach Road and the ramp will be on your left

Hey Bob, I noticed you are posting the Castaway Bass Club Tournament at Guntersville and Porko's midnight madness tournament on Allatoona both on August 9th. On the Castaway Bass Club website it shows Guntersville August 9th and Porko website shows midnight madness August 2nd and August 16th. I just wanted to point that out if you might of mixed up the schedules by accident.

Take care buddy smile

Overcast and very dark last night, with a south-southeast wind that felt like about 15-20 mph (more than likely 10-15). Water temps were hovering around 83 degrees most of the places that Stan and I hit. No rain, though, and that was a blessing! We had a great turn out with 29 paid entries (30 boats including mine), 57 anglers weighed 92 fish for a total of 139.68lbs (average of 1.52lbs per fish). We had 11 entries that did not weigh fish, I don't know if some of them left early, didn't catch anything or just simply felt that their catch would not compete? If it's feeling your catch would not compete, I sure would like to weigh your catch anyway so we can get some good data to see how this lake is really producing. The DNR is monitoring our data and hoping to use it along with other data to manage the fishery. You can also go to http://porkostournaments.info/index.php?option=com_wrapper&view=wrapper&Itemid=146 and look at the data.

Ok, here are the money spots. We paid 6 places, Big Bass and a side pot last night:
6th place went to Bill P. and Chad with 5 fish for 8.50lbs and $58
5th place went to Dave and Steve with 5 fish for 8.96lbs and $116
4th place was Calvin and Eric with 5 fish for 9.61lbs
3rd place went to Ricky and John with 5 fish for 10.67lbs and $232
2nd place went to Lonnie and Chad with 5 fish for 10.68lbs and $267
1st place went to Joe and Kyle with 5 fish for 10.77lbs and $290 for 1st, $270 side pot, Their kicker weighed 5.07lbs and netted another $290 for Big Bass. Great job guys!
Wow! .10lb separated the top three places, 1.6oz!

The next event will be on August 2, 2014. I may not be fishing that one, but there will be someone running it regardless. More than likely that person will be Tom Grant. You see Tom helping me at the scales almost every night. He's my buddy and my right hand when I need him! up
