Event number 3 for the season is at hand! Saturday night at Gatewood, I will be there around 6PM to sign folks up so come on out and be a part of the fun. $50 entry, $10-Big Bass and $40-1 plc for every 5 entries (up to $30 entries, 6 plcs thereafter). 5 fish limit, one dead fish allowed, Big Bass must be alive to qualify. There is usually a $10 side pot (winner take all, based on total weight). Great way to spend the evening with plenty of parking lot visiting before and after the tournament.

For those who have never been up here before, you can use these directions:
From I-75 North or South, Take Exit 290 (Cartersville/GA20 Exit) Travel East on GA 20 approximately 500 feet and take a right on GA Spur 20 (Between Kangaroo Grocery and Wendy's), travel approximately 3 miles and take a left on Bartow County Beach Road (the Corps signs no longer exist, so look for the small Gatewood Ramp sign)or turn left on Jim Knight Rd. and go till it dead-ends to Bartow County Beach Rd and turn left. Travel to the end of Bartow County Beach Road and the ramp will be on your left

"Corrections below in RED" Thanks to those who read this and brought it to my attention. That will teach me to wake and have some coffee before putting the info out on the forums!

Wow! another big night with 40 paid entries, 82 anglers and 41 boats (including mine)! We had decent weather up till the very last hour of the tournament, then it came down in buckets, and rained right on through the weigh in. There were 113 fish brought to the scales for a total of 152.26lbs (an average of 1.35lbs per fish. There were 11 largemouth bass, and the rest were spots. Big fish was a spot, again, this time. We paid 6 places, Big Bass and also had a side pot last night. Here's how the money spots came down:
6th place went to Jeff and Mike with 5 fish for 7.72lbs, $80
5th place was Lonnie and Chad with 5 fish for 7.86lbs, $160
4th place went to Ed and Sulie with 5 fish for 8.56lbs, $272
3rd place went to Chad and Scott with 5 fish for 9.37lbs, $320
2nd place was Kelly and Todd with 5 fish for 10.13lbs, $368
1st place went to Roy and Mark with 5 fish for 10.35lbs and Big Bass of 3,75lbs. Their payday was $400 for First, $400 for Big Bass and $370 in the side pot! nice chunk of change, guys!!!!
If there are any names misspelled or mis-pronounced, please do not hesitate to contact me and I will gladly correct them. Sometimes it is hard to translate someone else handwriting, but I do the best I can. lol

Our next event is on June 21, 2014, hopefully I will see all of ya'll and more! Take care guys and be safe on the water!
cheers
